Lumin8 developed a mosquito trap called Silver Bullet, to attract and trap mosquitoes, assisting in vector surveillance and field work for scientists. Silver Bullet is very robust and requires little maintenance. Its completely solar powered and designed for standalone operation. Various features assist entomologists in saving time, logging environmental conditions, and assist with collection of greater samples. Lumin8 also developed a mosquito trap called Halo, to be installed around villages to reduce mass mosquito populations, in order to bring Malaria statistics down significantly. It's completely stand alone, maintenance free and solar powered. It also offers USB charge for locals. It is locally manufactured in South Africa, very robust, rechargeable, chargeable with solar and all significant improvements to other products.
