HealthcareTec21 (HcT 21) aims to produce modern and cost effective medical equipment using 3D technology. This allows for timely local solutions for Africa's healthcare needs. Cameroon's need and demand for modern health services/equipment are high and constant However, the country has limited access to manufacturing facilities and suppliers. As a result, many clinics use outdated equipment some illegally imported from Nigeria, which increases the workload of healthcare professionals in the country. Harrison believes 3D technology can provide modern medical equipment that will significantly improve Cameroon’s healthcare delivery 3D printing requires a digital file to produce a device. It is possible to customize a design and create many different devices in one batch, making it economically viable for Cameroon while effectively increasing access to effective care.
